Loyal to the concept of sustainability, in the year 2014, we set up a walnut for timber plantation for the production of noble hardwood. On a surface of 116 ha, we planted more than 22.000 hybrid walnut seedlings (type NG23, NG38 and MJ209 with EU certification), imported from “in vitro” laboratories located in France.
These walnut trees, being fruitless, their growth is reflected in the noble hardwood. This plantation grows and progress at the border between horticulture and silviculture. The wood of hybrid walnuts bears remarkable technical and esthetical properties, with a unique “design” of the root fibers and is used in high-end manufacture (automotive, aviation, yachts, musical instruments, hunting rifles, etc.).
